Your writing says all. Content can make or break a business online. Well read on if you wish to be a better content writer. 

Well usually, short, precise and anecdotal write-ups encourage users to read on completely. Users on Internet do not read long write ups until unless they are seeking detailed or extensive information. Whence there is information in question, detailed well researched and unique contents may be the order of the day.

Integrating Media – Visual Marketing & Branding

In the modern context on the Internet, interactive portals, websites and blogs make it possible to integrate images, videos and infographic. Let me tell you this is the best way of presenting contents to the users. You can also add quotes or anecdotes or call outs if suited to the write up. Inserting elements described here in between and logically will generate a pause which will engage reader to go on and captivate his attention.


Hence user generated content sites like hubpages make it possible to integrate media in the hubs or articles.      
This type of content creation is an ideal tool for visual marketing and highly successful in creating a brand appeal and awareness.

Engagement: Stick to the Topic.

Things do not end at integrating media, you have to be well focused on the topic and it’s specific. For example you are either writing on a resort or its accommodation or both. In first case, write about the resort comprehensively giving importance to accommodation part as well. In the second case, write extensively on accommodation after describing the resort briefly. Describe the rooms, amenities services, interiors, surroundings even the architecture and ambience that is generated. 

In case when you have to write on both aspects, the do write on both and the services offered, include out of the way offerings and other related information. Divide content in neat, readable paragraphs, add images and video. 

Accommodation 
You should have a way with words - use a good vocabulary. Tell a story or a powerful narrative that compels reader to go on. You can go through your article or blog entry or website content - again and again.

Impart unique and useful information in the content. This is an addition you should not neglect general information for the uninitiated. If you are targeting people who already know about the topic you can reduce general information that which is obvious.

Let us understand one aspect of factual writing. You may be a good writer but then your expertise on many topics will be limited to what you have read about, or have experienced. This is natural. But your bread and butter as writer would rarely be basketful if you write on few topics.

So what do you do?

Well there is plenty of information available on the Internet and in the libraries.  You can further information by gathering it from experts, community members and yes from the clients, business owners or the professionals. If you are lucky you can experience the topic yourself but this is not always possible. On many instance the client will assist you in getting the requisite experience. May be he will treat you to a free lunch or a stay at his fabulous resort.

Thus if you have completed the full circle of information gathering as mentioned here, you will write accurately, and be ethical as well.          

Summary or an Introduction Line – Avoiding TLDR

This is what a sketch of a write up should be, a line or two, brief summary or even an image that tells the story. When I write extensive itineraries for package tour websites I usually mention destinations in breadcrumbs or one liners followed by an itinerary sketch.  

Be aware many visitors will skip an article or blog entry if they are not able to make out at first glance what it is all about. Even if you have done this formality add a suitable image wherever possible.

If you write well search terms will naturally creep in proper percentage. Do not add keywords unnaturally to gain on SERPs.
