Google Search Console - Features

The aim is to get more search traffic by optimizing your website for better performance.

The search console is of immese help to quickly diagnose the site as well as to guage the performence. Hence after verification of your site the facility starts collecting data regarding various aspects of the site.

Some of the features are:

Overview

This give a sketch of performance, site pages and those with errors. You will alos find a mobileusability report with number of pages mobile compatible.

Performance

The main assessment is that of numbers of queries the site has reponded to and the clicks and impressions. The latter is how many times the site appeared on that keyword but not clicked.  You will also find out total clicks and total impressions.

Different metrics can be seen by changing the report preferances by clicking the tabs above. If you explore this option well you can change the dynamics of the reports as per your need.

URL Inspection Tool

By using this tool you can assess the performance of individual site pages. This was earlier named Fetch As Google and is now replaced by URL Inspection Tools. Pages could be resubmitted for indexing if changed. You can also discover the mobile friendly status of each page.

Understanding Search Console Adding Property

For site owners seeking a robust response from the web it is important to understand the site functions and its performance in SERPs. This valuable information provides insight as well technical performance of the site. The webmasters appointed by site owners can hence fine tune their websites and rectify technical errors present. 

Earlier known as webmaster tool the utility is known as search console nowadays. The site owners usually connect their websmasters or search engine optimization specialists with search console so they can log and to read the insights and rectify technical error if any.  

This is an improtant webmaster tool and should never be neglected by webmasters. 

Adding Property

When you log into the search console you will get an option to add your property. You have to add the URL of your site and then the next  procedure is to verify the website by adding a code in the head section. Adding a meta tag is the best way to verify the site and you just have to copy the code and paste it in the head section. Once you have done the needful go back and click verify. It takes twenty four hours for the verification to complete. 

Once added properly your site will start recieving data. You will also receive notifications from Google if there is some error on site.

Remember you have to verify both www version and non www version of your site seperately depending upon which form you give preference to in the search console. In this console you can add your partner as administerator and webmaster too albeit with limited control. Generally webmasters look after search control and are accorded full permission.

Organize Accounts or Followers into Twitter Lists

Twitter lists are the best way to organize your accounts/followers/tweeters using the list creating facility. This way you can categorize, organize and make lists according to your preferences.  For example you could make a list of relatives and friends each as a seperate list. You can also create a business list where in all your online business associates are bundled together. This simply means you can also make lists according to your interests, preferences and usage. 

The lists can be private (hidden) only for your use or public. The lists are for reference and for reading tweets only. You cannot send specific tweet to list members only for communication or marketing purpose.

If you paste the link on the address bar after having copied the URL you will get tweets only for the members thus you can read only those specific tweets pertaining to the interest as defined in the list.

Creating an Ad Group & Text Ad in Google Adwords

Sign in Google Adwords and create a campaign. The net step is to create an Ad Group based on a campaign you have created. 


Next name the Adgroup and then fill in the details like the default bid you will place based on your currency. The next step is to fill in the keywords in the empty panel that follows. Place broad match and exact match search terms along with exact match phrases. Also add stand alone words which combine to make popular phrases. Place one phrase or one word per  line. 

After you have created an Ad Group the nexdt step is to create an Ad. 

Creating A Text Ad
Whence you have created a campaign and added an Ad Group under it you will get an option to create an AD.

Add the Final URL correctly since this is where the Ad will land the visitor to. 

They you have an option for Headline 1 & Headline 2

Remember write a title that will attract attension as well as tempt the visitor to click. You will also get an option to describe the AD. In both instances you need to be creative and add keywords wisely. The write up should be focused and should inform about the product, services etc.  Information, features, benefits should be explicit along with appealing call to action.  Do write the call out which will further create an appeal to the visitor. This option will appear whence you have saved the Ad. At the end you will get the Ad as you have created or a compact one. Choose.

Call Only Ad

This Ad leads the visitor driectly to a moblie call. Here you have to add the location correctly and the mobile number. There is an option to target the defined location as well as customers searching for the product/services in another location.

Adwords offers lot of options which you have to fill in properly to create a highly targed Text or Call Out Ad.

Google Adwords - Setting A Campaign!

After creating a google account you can search for Adwords site online sign in and enter. This will lead you to an interface which Google is constantly updating. 

Google Adwords is a pay per click advertisement interface from Google and offers multitude of features ranging from creating campaigns, Ad blocks and then fine tuning the whole campign in order to get the best results. Remember Adword campaigns may be large especially that initiated by big companies...but you can set a limit and run as per your budget.  

Hence upon entering create a campaign. There is an option for creating a new campaign for starters. The new campaign panel offers option to set you Ad goal. Are you advertising for website traffic? Brand Awareness? Sales? App Promotion? For Leads? You can even set a goalless campaign. Hence depending upon the nature of your campaign you would click on the suitable panel. 

For Ads on Google.com you would choose the panel which is labeled as SEARCH. This further gives an Ad option to be visible on website, phone call, store visit or apps download.    

The Adwords features are comprehensive and require intense involvment to fine tune your campiagns but nevertheless learn more feature and youtube tutorials will help a beginner.

The ads coverage is wide and you can advertiseusing Gmail where is a link to landing page is pasted. Or the Gmal Ad itself expands with the message. You can also link the Ad with Merchant Account thus enabling product data with the campaign.   

Using the Display feature you can initiate striking Ads to display on stores, in apps and online. There is an option for using standard or advanced features the former is for beginner. However if you wish to control the display of Ads using many aspects than you have to go in for advance settings.  

Ads are also shown in Youtube videos and are charged whence a viewer watches an Ad for atleast thirty seconds. 

Whence you click on the panel for the goal you have chosen you will contnue to get options till the final goal is set.
